Gabon Women Empowerment Plan Revealed in New York
Gabon recently took part to the 59th Ordinary Session of the Committee on the Status of Women initiated by the UN women bureau in New York.
It was the deputy minister for social welfare, Marie-Francoise Dikoumba who presented the country’s policies and achievement on the subject matter.
Gabon representative to the said event noted in her address that the country was doing everything possible to empower women, and above all secure their rights.
Mrs Dikoumba also reaffirmed Gabon membership to the declaration of Addis Ababa for the speeding of the Beijing platform for action.
