Nigerian Embassy’s Vehicle Set Ablaze In Gabon

The vehicle, a Toyota mini jeep with matriculate number 097CD016 was completely burnt down on Sunday’s evening in Libreville, Gabon. The wife of the accountant of the Embassy of Nigeria, Mrs Ala James also escaped death during the attack.

According to our reporter, the capital city of Libreville, Gabon witnessed uproar on Sunday evening as riots broke out following the death of an opposition leader, Mr Andre Mba Obame. Immediately the death was announced, opposition supporters rampaging through the streets setting buildings and vehicles on fire.

Eagle Reporters gathered that many rioters took to the streets of Libreville and they started to vandalize properties and vehicles. The Embassy of Benin and government service cars were burnt in Sunday’s violence. The service vehicle of the Embassy of Nigeria was burnt in Sunday’s violence. Dozen other vehicles and private properties were also vandalized.

The accountant of Nigerian Embassy in Gabon, Mr Ala James who related to Eagle Reporters described the incidence as unfortunate as they attacked vehicles with diplomatic matriculations
