Lambaréné hosts the international day of the francophonie

Lambaréné hosted yesterday the opening ceremony of the francophonie at the Hotel Ogouee Palace. The ceremony chaired by Gabon’s Prime Minister Daniel Ona Ondo was organized in partnership with the young volunteers networks (JVF) and the Regional Bureau of the francophonie.

Among invitees were the highest authorities of Lambaréné, Foreign Minister Emmanuel Issoset NGONDET, Education minister Ida Reteno ASSOUNOUET as well as youth coming all across the country.

The Forum main’s objective was the promotion of the French language presented during the conference a “host language”. Gathered thanks to this language, it was also the opportu ity to tackle issues related to the economic and environmental situation of the world in general and Gabon in particular.

The opening was closed by the prizes delivery of grant books given by Gabon’s president to the reading and cultural center (CLAC) of Lambaréné.
