Gabon’s Government apologized to Beninese Ambassador
Gabon’s Interior Minister Guy Bertrand Mapangou and Foreign Minister Issozet Ngondet visited the Beninese Ambassador yesterday to share the country’s regrets over the burning out of the Benin Embassy to Gabon.
The Foreign Minister mentioned that this vicious act was led by an isolated groups of bandits, taking advantage of the announcement of Andre Mba Obame’s death. This to say that the Benin community was not at all targeted. This forfeit was led in order to jeopardize the town and bilateral relationship with Benin.
As for the foreign Minister the Interior Minister, he assured the Beninese Government that investigations will be opened to arrest the authors of those crimes and that security measures will be taken to guarantee the Beninese citizens’s security.
