The Gabonese company of transport and exploitation (SETRAG) seeks a loan bond of more than 200,000,000 CFA Francs for its rehabilitating program.

The company is currently on negotiations with the International financial Company (SFI), a branch of the World Bank to raise the necessary amount of money which will allow them to double its capacity. The company expects to move from 8 trains per days to 16 ones.

It is now up to the SFI to judge the viability of the loan. For this end, the SFI recently launched an examination on the financial accounts to analyze the capacity for the SETRAG to pay the debt.

The SFI could grant 50 per cent of the investment program if the Government initiates a redress plan” said Guillaume Verschaeve.
